Welcome to the world of design!

This introductory class is about the visual world we all live in and provides tools toward understanding it. Through lecture and class projects, we will explore the everyday use of visual language and the tools designers use. As the class progresses, students will develop tools for collaboration, ways to encourage creative thinking, and presentation skills. Course material culminates in an examination of design jobs and how the world of design is used in theatre and the performing arts.
